salam to all pukhtoon from Swat...i hope ur having a good time now...i am really fascinated on the beauty of Swat even i have seen only tru internet...i wish i could visit in the future, but i know its very impossible...in Philippines, we have also a lot of beautiful places here, mountains too...but unfortunately people dont care about nature, we have a lot of illegal loggers here, our mountain is becoming too bald cos of them, we have also beautiful rivers but people are so careless, they dont value gift from ALLAH, they throw garbage anywhere...thats why pukhtoon people are very much lucky, indeed ALLAH love them...they are kind people, very responsible(i dont know other pathan but my frens are kind and respectfull)....best of luck people from SWAT..take good care the gift from ALLAH...have a nice day always...always think that u are all very lucky people....

I visited Swat in 1992 and was very generously treated by the brothers Khan in Barikot. I wish I could return to visit again. I have very fond memories of there and beautiful Swat. I was travelling around the world by bicycle at the time, and I finished that journey in 2004. Swat remains one of the most fantastic places that I visited.
If anyone can put me in touch with the owners of the Fan Gas Shop there in Barikot, I would very much appreciate it. Yours sincerely, Richard Gregg

Maybe it used to be a nice place, but the Taliban has taken it over. They'll take it back to the 7th century.

If the people of Swat will not this action of Taleban seriously, these kind of things will continue for ever. The girl may not be involved in the activities against sharia. The Taleban are already involved in non sharia activities. This is the time for the people of Swat to reunite. If they will not reunite this time, they will never be united. These kind of brutal actions will be there fate.
